Queen City Emporium is a 2200 square foot space, housed in a fabulous old building on Commercial St. in Springfield, MO. Our building was built in 1896, and has housed a Livery, Farm Implement business, a pool hall, and a mechanic. The building was completely refurbished in 2006, but has retained much of it’s original character, including great, high ceilings and original brick walls.
Commercial Street - C Street to locals - is a great shopping district in a revitalized turn of the century neighborhood. There are restaurants, retro/antique shops, galleries, a wine bar, a restored firehouse, and the oldest pub in town along the street. Most of the buildings have loft apartments above the businesses, with more than 500 people living in these quaint old buildings. The C Street neighborhood is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
We will be participating in the Springfield First Friday Art Walks, and our store opening will coincide with the return of the ‘C St. Farmer’s Market’ which is held on Tuesday Afternoons and Saturday mornings. We anticipate that we will get quite a bit of traffic.
We are looking for quality handcrafted items, ranging from jewelry, wearables, home décor, art, bath & body to fine art & craft supplies, as well as everything in between. Items must be made by the submitter, be of high quality and well made - i.e., sewn items must be neatly put together and pressed, straight seams, etc. More information will be included with the Consignment packet.
Please keep in mind that although it is cold right now, we are seeking Spring/Summer themes with a few cooler weather items.
This would be a wonderful opportunity for anyone seeking greater exposure, and possibly a little feedback on your products in the non-internet marketplace. We ask that you be willing to commit for a minimum of 4 months or longer.
If you are interested in consigning with Queen City Emporium, please email or convo us with the items you would like to consign. Ideally, items would be priced at $5-$75 or so.

Bath & Body - Perfumes - Candles
Fashion Accessories - Women, Men, Children
Clothing - See above

Anything else that might be interesting. If you think it’s great, contact us!
NOT ALLOWED - Obscene/vulgar/hate materials, pre-worn clothing (altered/up cycled will be considered on a case by case basis), use of copyrighted images, etc.
I'm so excited for you! The building itself looks like it has lots of personality, and the Queen City Emporium name calls to mind those general store type shops that have something for everyone.
:-)

this shop steals their inventory from hard working artisans! http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6743484&page=1
don't consign with them and know that if you buy from them you are purchasing stolen goods.

More info about the 60+ businesses they took items from but never paid nor returned goods to:

If they aren't holding up the contract with you, the facebook page also has info about how to report them to the MO Attorney General.
