Today, I received keys to the building. It's really really happening, and there's no turning back now!
I also discovered a little more info about the building. It was
built in 1896 as an extension to the farm implement store that was
located next door. The two buildings were basically twins two years
apart. Same size, detailing, amenities, everything. The Emporium will be occupying the 1st floor of the 3 story building with brown trim.
Over the years, it's been a pool hall, an auto repair, a storage building, and mainly neglected. In 2004, it was totally renovated, as a labor of love, and has wonderful character with all the modern appointments.
I'm so excited for you! This building looks like my dream building.
